Have you heard the news? Our second baby is a boy!
We’re more than halfway through this pregnancy already, so I went for my 20-week anatomy scan, and all is looking well. During the appointment, I asked for the gender to be written in a secret envelope, rather than shared directly.
Then, I took that little envelope to our local grocery store, and asked the ladies in the bakery to help with a special surprise. As I wandered the store, they packaged up 3 pink or 3 blue macarons in a little box. They even went above and beyond to keep the rest of the tray out of the display, and gave them to me free of charge – so sweet!
When I brought them home, Andrew, Madilynn and I sat on the couch together to reveal the news – a baby brother!
